Students participating in the Grove Fellowship at Hunter College, led by Carol Jenkins and Bettina Hager, in partnership with the ERA Coalition, are organizing the Fourth Annual Campus ERA Day, which will take place on April 27th, 2020 from 6:00-7:30PM EST. We hope you’ll be able to join us by hosting a viewing party on your campus and engaging with our panel during a live Q&A.
What is the purpose of this panel?
Together with the ERA Coalition, we aim to spread awareness for and gain support for the revitalized push to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment to the United States Constitution. In 1923, the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) was introduced in Congress to ensure that women were equal under the law and prevent sex-based discrimination. Almost one hundred years later, the United States Constitution still does not guarantee equal rights for women! To accelerate the pace of change, we started Campus ERA Day two years ago in 2017.
